Disclaimer
Until now, markets have operated in a way that is determined by the price of the asset being purchased, relative to its underlying value. The more valuable it is, the higher the price increases. However, when you introduce a reward mechanism which incentivises holders by allowing them to claim tokens of higher relative value simply by holding, the reward that is claimed can end up becoming more valuable than the asset itself thus becoming the driving factor to buy the asset.
When you look at an asset this way, it becomes hard to predict at which point the reward becomes more valuable than the asset itself. As the size of the reward pool increases, so does its value, however, when the market enters a downtrend and the price of the asset decreases relative to the size of the pool, the asset can then become more valuable, as the amount of rewards claimed per token increases, thus fuelling another bull market.
Reward generating tokens are still in their infancy and the potential impact they can have on the crypto market as a whole is still unknown. No amount of simulations and testing can prepare us for how the market will react to the new Smart Pool mechanism, and relatively new Dynamic Tax Protocol (DTP), Reward Contributions and 24-Hour Anti-Whale mechanics in a real-world scenario.
As a result, we anticipate a need to monitor the reward pools health over a period of a few market cycles in case we need to tweak some of the built in reward mechanisms (such as tax % on transactions, on the anti-whale mechanics and on BNB rewards contributions, or the ratio of reward pool and smart pool allocation) until we are confident that it is working in the way we had originally intended.
As we cannot predict how long a market cycle will last, it is difficult to give an exact estimate on the length of time needed to continually monitor it.
If any change needs to be made, it will be done so with the backing of the community in the form of a discussion/vote on the official Rewardeum Telegram group.
It is for this reason that we have not renounced ownership of the contract, nor will we intend to renounce ownership until we have reached this goal.
